The Curling Outreach Coordinator will report to the General Manager to review existing programs, outreach to the community and volunteers to improve programs, and develop a long-term strategy and implementation plan to grow curling programs and services for the Blind River Curling Club.

START DATE: November 12, 2024. END DATE: May 27, 2025
HOURS: Part-Time up to twenty-four hours a week, work from home is possible.
PAY: $25.00 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review existing curling club promotional materials and create new formats to promote curling in the community and surrounding area, with a special emphasis on schools for the 2024/2025 season.
- Review past volunteer recruitment systems and develop an improved method of volunteer development and management of the Little Rockers and Junior Programming, Leagues, Learn-to-Curl Programming, Bonspiels, Competitions, and other events as required, including creating and formatting documents (checklists), reports, presentations and other materials as required.
- Consult with the BRCC membership, prepare a long-term strategy and implementation plan to improve the curling club's capacity to delivery club programs and services, and a communication plan to promote programs and services.

- Education in business and recreation. Curling experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational ability and time management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with effectively coordinating/working alongside groups of people.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications.
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule based on programming needs (evenings/weekends).
- Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
