Required Skills:
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Current CPR
- Registered Practical Nurse with a current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Compliance
- Relevant education in managing responsive behaviours i.e. P.I.E.C.E.S, U-First, Montassari, BSO Foundations, Gentle Persuasion
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Previous or current related experience in an Acute Care or Long-Term Care setting
ASSETS
- Bilingual
- Excellent Attendance Record
- Effective organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Gentle Persuasion Approaches Trainer, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Trainer
- Experience working with computer software programs to develop written materials i.e. Point Click Care, Microsoft programs
