Casual Relief Worker will be responsible for duties regaurding the basic supervision of the clients and the Centre.
Required Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Be able to take direction and to work within the policies procedures and philosophy of the Centre
- Have a basic knowledge of the addiction, treatment and recovery process
- Lead a non-abusive lifestyle and provide a positive role model for clients
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Capable of handling crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Be willing to take further training
- Possess initiative, self-discipline, responsibility and reliability
- Basic knowledge of social services and resources in the area served
- A healthy, supportive attitude towards clients in recovery
- Knowledge and understanding of the population served by the Centre
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment, as well as independently
