Job Description:
Position: Ojibway Park Supervisor - 6 Month Contract
Salary: $24.04 - $27.02 (Pending Education & Experience)
Report to: Business Manager
Duration: Full Time Permanent
Start Date: April 17, 2023

Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Ojibway Park Supervisor will be responsible for the day-today operations of the park acting as the initial point of contact for all campers and vendors.

DUTIES
- Oversee the daily maintenance, construction operations and staffing of the Ojibway Tent & Trailer Park;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, internal stakeholders, campers and the general public;
- Develop work plans for all staff including creating schedules, ensuring staff is on time and work when scheduled, verifying and approving timesheets;
- Oversee and lead Ojibway Park concerns and complaints from campers, following up when required;
- Perform seasonal (open and close) inventory checklists;
- Oversee check-in/check-out and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures;
- Pre-register, block reservations, handle group bookings and, as appropriate, takes same day and future reservations;
- Ensure compliance with GRFN Finance Polices, including timely payment of invoices and preparation of financial reports;
- Maintain appropriate hard and soft copy files relating to fiduciary reporting requirements, payables and receivables, supplier lists, work plans, and other related documents
- Manage conflict resolution; Resolves staff and park site issues immediately to obtain positive results and meet operational requirements
- Create and manage content for Ojibway Park social media channels and work with the Business Unit to ensure content is up to date as required;
- Performs other duties as maybe assigned or required;

Required Skills:
- Post-secondary education in business, tourism, hospitality and/or recreation management; and/or equivalent amount of management experience in a similar industry (tourism, hospitality, and customer service);
- Proficiency in word, excel, outlook and pos systems and social media platforms;
- Must have basic knowledge of maintenance of all equipment and general workshop tools, First Aid/CPR Certificate;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience required to work with a wide range of customers;
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge to First Nation cultural, values and traditions;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team;
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written;
- Must have a valid driver's license, be insurable, and undergo a criminal record check prior to employment (At Applicant Expense).
