Position Overview
United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Client Services & Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional client services, supporting outreach initiatives, and assisting with special events to enhance the organization's visibility and impact. As the first point of contact for clients and community members, you will manage program intake and coordination, build relationships through outreach, and contribute to the success of events aligned with United Way's mission.

Key Responsibilities
1. Reception & Client Services (50%)
-Serve as the first point of contact for clients, donors, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
-Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries appropriately.
-Maintain office systems, including scheduling, filing, and supply management.
-Complete intake assessments for the Community Assistance Trust (CAT) program, ensuring eligibility and timely processing of applications.
-Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
-Coordinate the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), managing scheduling, volunteer support, and client intake.
-Provide resources, referrals, and information to individuals seeking assistance.
-Track client inquiries, documenting data for reporting and improvement purposes.

2. Outreach (30%)
-Conduct outreach activities to connect with clients, community organizations, and underserved populations.
-Promote United Way programs such as CAT and CVITP through outreach events, partnerships, and resource distribution.
-Build relationships with local agencies and community partners to enhance program reach.
-Follow up with clients to ensure services provided meet their needs and identify additional support opportunities.
-Track outreach activities and measure impact for continuous improvement.

3. Special Events Support (20%)
-Take the lead in planning, organizing, and executing Tampon Tuesday and Trades Day of Caring.
-Assist in coordinating other special events, including fundraisers, community initiatives, and awareness campaigns.
-Support event logistics, including venue setup, volunteer coordination, and material preparation.
-Provide onsite support during events, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for participants.
-Assist with event evaluations, collecting feedback, tracking participation, and documenting outcomes.

Required Skills:
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and community members effectively.
-Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management systems.
-Experience in client services, outreach, or event coordination is an asset.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Demonstrated commitment to United Way's mission and values
