POSITION: Public Works Labourer (Student)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Public Works Superintendent
WAGE: $17.75 as of April 1, 2025/Hour Seasonal Full Time
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
The Public Works Labourer (Student) is responsible for assisting in all aspects of road and grounds maintenance, under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent.

Note: This position is subject to funding approval. While we are moving forward with the recruitment process, final hiring is contingent upon confirmation of external funding.

Responsible for assisting in all aspects of township landscaping, road construction and general maintenance.
-Assisting in the inspection and maintenance of all roads
-Patching, grading, surface treatment, brushing, tree removal, bridge and culvert maintenance and dust control
-Landscaping/yard care at various sites throughout the township
-Assisting in general equipment repairs, clean up, signage installation, and playground maintenance

-Effective communication skills
-Proven ability to follow direction.
-Maturity to work with minimal supervision.
-Experience deal with the public considered and asset.
-Experience working with power tools and gardening equipment is considered an asset.
