Job Description: Students hired as Municipal Labourer will gain hands-on experience and insight into the role of municipal government and operations within the Public Works Department. This position offers a balanced combination of physical tasks, customer service, and administrative exposure, providing a comprehensive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Operational Support:
- Assist in essential municipal maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, minor building repairs, road maintenance support, and other labour-related activities.
- Safely work around municipal equipment, learning about its use, safety procedures, and maintenance.

Administrative and Communication Skills:
- Perform general administrative duties, including logging service requests, organizing documentation, and supporting public inquiries.
- Utilize communication technologies (e.g., radios and digital tools) to coordinate tasks and provide updates on work progress.
- Interact with residents to address inquiries, fostering strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work closely with municipal staff and other students to complete assigned tasks efficiently and collaboratively.
- Foster teamwork by participating in group problem-solving and contributing to team objectives.

Applicants must be between 15 to 30 years old and legally eligible to work in Canada. Please note that international students are not eligible.
