Job Description:
Huron Pines Golf and Country Club is currently looking for a mechanic/ equipment technician.
Position overview: Huron Pines Golf and Country Club has an excellent position open for a mechanically inclined individual who would like to advance their skill set. This is a demanding and rewarding job that requires an individual with self discipline and a desire to achieve excellence in their work. Training will be provided on some of the essential tools for maintenance and upkeep of the equipment. A knowledge of small engines is essential to this position.
Responsibilities Included but Not Limited to:
- Reporting to the course superintendent, the selected individual will be responsible for maintenance and record keeping on the courses equipment and cart fleet as well as identifying parts required for repair.
- Sharpening of the courses mowing equipment and daily set up of machinery to produce the best possible conditions on what is widely seen as one of the best golf courses in the north.
- Co-ordinating downtime for equipment without disrupting mowing and course maintenance routines.
- Working with staff members to identify problems with equipment as they arise from time to time on the course.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work area.
Compensation: $23 - $28/Hr
