SUMMER JOBS COORDINATOR - Contract
Duration: March 3, 2025 - October 31, 20225
Education Unit - ISETS Department
Salary: $22.00/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Summer Placement Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the Sagamok Anishnawbek ISET LDM Summer Student Program, lending support to additional ISETS program placements and Education Unit overall objectives. The incumbent will utilize and enhance existing computer skills, written/verbal communication skills, budgeting skills, and overall office administration, program planning and monitoring.
Note: Possibility of extension pending funding approval.

POSITION DUTIES:
- Coordinate the ISET/ASETS LDM Summer Student Program
- Receive and screen all applications for completion and eligibility (student & employer)
- Assist departments with coordinating interviews
- Communicate with Employers on student selection and liaise with students, as necessary
- Recommend, review and evaluate employer/student summer job placements
- Coordinate and administer summer student development training, health and safety programs
- Creation and monitoring of summer student Funding Requests & Contracts
- Regular and frequent monitoring of summer students' performance, on the job
- Regular and frequent examination of the summer student program budgets and programming effectiveness
- Administer summer student evaluations and compile results for final report
- Ensure completion of all forms required for final report statistics
- Perform administrative duties as directed by Guidance and Career Coaches
- Assist with Education Unit as required
- Other duties as may be deemed necessary in support of the summer student program, the ISET LDM program, and the Education Unit overall

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference will be given to those applicants with Office/Business Administration, Social Services, Education, or related field.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
- Those eligible for Sagamok Anishnawbek ISETS program funding will be given priority
- Must have superior organization & computer skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills
- Must be a highly self-motivated self-starter and possess the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Must be able to provide a clear CPIC and Drivers Abstract at time of hire
- Have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Health & Safety in Four Steps
