Permanent Full Time
Wage: $38.00 - $44.00 Per Hour
DT Electrical Contractors is a leading provider of electrical services in Sault Ste Marie and surrounding area for over 50 years. We are expanding and are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a critical role in our projects, ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and equipment, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment according to local codes and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and correct issues
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Mentor and supervise apprentice electricians as needed

Required Skills:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License 309A
- 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and schematics
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working at heights, confined spaces and other safety training a plus++
- 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
