Position: KINESIOLOGIST
Temporary Full Time, 18 month contract
The North Shore Health Network (NSHN) provides rural healthcare for communities along the north shore of Lake Huron - including services in Blind River, Thessalon and Richards Landing. The North Shore Health Network sites have been serving their communities faithfully for many years providing emergency, acute, complex continuing care, long term care, geriatric and community support services.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manager of Allied Health & Geriatric Services the Kinesiologist will provide services to the geriatric population both as inpatients and outpatients at the North Shore Health Network. Working in conjunction with the Geriatric Team the Kinesiologist will align with the provincial initiative to keep seniors healthy.
ASSIGNED TO: Blind River Site
RATE OF PAY: $75,103 - $95,692 per annum

Required Skills:
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited university Kinesiology or Human Kinetics Program
- Registered and in good standings with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario
ASSETS:
- Bilingual
- Previous work experience in a community health or long-term care setting, including significant experience working with seniors.
- Previous experience working in an interdisciplinary Rehabilitation setting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time-management
- Advance computer competency in Microsoft Office applications
- High Standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a committed team member
