PART-TIME HELP WANTED
ATTENDANT
Experience is a bonus but finding the right person is key!
Female client with Multiple Sclerosis affecting mobility and fine motor skills (wheelchair and walker) looking to hire a caregiver to assist with activities of daily living to allow them to function more safely and independently. Client can be behaviorally difficult at times. Some benefits include laid back residential setting, no dress code, phone access, some meals, and food provided, on site parking.
Provide routine individualized care such as bathing and dressing to a woman with Multiple Sclerosis in the patient's home.

Provide routine individualized care such as bathing and dressing to a woman with Multiple Sclerosis in the patient's home.
Required Skills:
-Experience with in-home personal care/support, flexibility, and a demonstrated understanding of the needs of clients with MS and physical disabilities.
-Excellent time management, organizational and coordination skills, good written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to effectively problem-solve and to maintain confidentiality an asset.
-Ability to follow direction and work independently, exercise good judgment, and prioritize daily tasks.
-Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation an asset but not required.
-Duties include assisting showering, dressing, peri care, meal preparation, baking, some light housekeeping (make bed, take trash out to bin, dishes (load and empty dishwasher), laundry, shopping, and errands.
-Provide patient with mobility assistance and other duties as mutually agreed to.
-Must be able to provide accurate contact information and a valid Social Insurance Number for government registration

Requirements:
Biweekly pay with full government deductions.
A criminal record check may be required upon hiring.
Available for morning shifts 8-9 am Monday to Friday, off Saturdays, Sunday 8-9 and 11-1.
Hours and days off can be negotiated depending on availability of second PSW.
