Job Description:
A local employer is looking for a Home Care Worker to assist with the following:
-21 year old male with Cerebral palsy with developmental delay
-Choking disorder
-Still's Disease
-Seizures
-Nonverbal
-Extremely happy and enjoyable personality
-Needs/Responsibilities
-Full support/care
-Oral suctioning
-G-Tube enteral feeds
-Medication administration including injections
-Incontinence care
-Physiotherapy
-Occupational therapy
-Respiratory therapy
-Hydrotherapy
-Bathing support
-Wheelchair transfers with lift
-Repositioning
-Community Access
-Medical appointments support

Required Skills:
Must have diploma in Developmental service worker, Educational assistant, Personal support worker, RPN or RN or at least two years experience working with Special needs clients.
-Physically fit, no lifting restrictions, knowledge of use of good body mechanics
-Non-smoker
-Positive, enthusiastic, motivated
-Background in healthcare with related experience, references
-Knowledge of wheelchairs, enteral feeding pumps, suction machine, hoyer lift use, seizure knowledge
-Knowledge of best health practices and universal precautions
-Professional
-Flexible
-Able to work shift work
-Physically fit, no lifting restrictions, knowledge of use of good body mechanics
