Location: Sault Ste Marie, Cutler, ON
Full-Time Permanent

We work with our 11 First Nation community partners in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services and health promotion services. We have recently been approved as the first Indigenous lead Ontario Health Team by the Ministry of Health.

The Opportunity: Under the supervision of the Chief Privacy Officer and Manager of Quality and Risk the Data Quality Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring clinic efficiency and operation of day-to-day activities. This position involves assisting the Digital Health and Data Management Specialist by conducting EMR training, creating, and maintaining medical forms, and completing new user setups.

Some of your Roles and Responsibilities will be:
- Works with Digital Health and Data Management Specialist to ensure all data is collected within set target dates.
- Participates in working groups and committees related to expanding team- based care.
- Creation of Custom Forms/Handouts for the EMR.
- Conducts EMR training.
- Assists with EMR improvements, data collection and analysis.
- Assists with EMR data extraction, searches and standardization of clinical terms which would include forms, dashboards, cleaning of data, standardization, etc.
- Assists with Quality Improvement initiatives

Required Skills:
What you need to bring with you:
- Post secondary school degree/diploma in a relevant field.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Experience with Excel.
- Demonstrated high competency in computers and other IT platforms.
- Formalized training and experience with creating custom forms for electronic medical records preferred.
- Previous administrative experience in a health care environment, particularly Family Health Teams preferred.
- Experience and/or knowledge with TELUS Practice Solutions preferred.
- Experience with Quality Improvement initiatives is an asset.
Requirements:
