Job Description:
Equipment Operator (20-30 hours/week)
(6-Month contract starting in May 2024 with the possibility of an extension or conversion to a permanent position)
(DZ License required)
Rate of Pay: $24.06-$25.56 per hour (As per CUPE Local 3 Agreement)
Summary of Duties:
- Operate all equipment, in all seasons, necessary to maintain the municipal roads & ditches i.e. grader, dump trucks, snow plows and attachments, backhoe, excavator, bush hog, chainsaw, etc.
- May be required to complete manual labour such as digs ditches, clear fallen trees, shrubs, patching, etc. to maintain required landscaping on roadside.

Ideal Candidate:
- Must be physically able to do the work
- 2 years experience preferred
- Training and/or certification for the operation of specialized equipment such as; grader, backhoe, snow plow, pressurized steamer, dump trucks, chainsaws.
