Forestry Technician
Contract (15-month parental leave coverage), Finch, Ontario
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (with the potential of some flexibility)
Salary Grid: $58,004.33 - $72,505.24
Start Date: January 2024 (potential to start earlier)

POSITION DETAILS:
The Forestry Technician is responsible for tree planting, woodlot assessments, field inventories and sampling, tree marking, data compilation, harvest inspection, information management, and written project reports. The Forestry Technician will work as part of the Property team. This
position reports to the Secretary-Treasurer.

LOCATION:
The SNC office is in a rural location in Finch, Ontario, southeast of Ottawa. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation.

Required Skills:
WHAT YOU OFFER:
- Post-secondary education in forestry, natural resource management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year experience relating to forest resource management or in a similar position.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Excellent project management experience.
- Excellent with computers including Microsoft Office programs and GIS applications.
- Enthusiasm, determination, and the ability to work independently.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset.
- Individuals working towards their designation with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association is an asset
- Valid Class \"G\" Ontario Driver's License
