Nursing Unit Manager
Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing, ON
Pay Rate / Hour: $50.05 - $53.79
Our client, Sensenbrenner Hospital, is a fully accredited 53-bed bilingual family-oriented, community-governed facility located in Kapuskasing, serving a catchment area from Opasatika to Fauquier in Northern Ontario. The hospital has a very stable and supportive medical staff and offers a wide range of nursing services such as, but not limited to: Home and Community Care, Specialty Clinics, Surgical, Obstetrics, Chemotherapy, and inpatient floors (Medical/Surgical and Continuing Care).
With a population of over 8,000, Kapuskasing is a vibrant community that boasts all the amenities associated with an urban centre, while providing the relaxing lifestyle of a smaller community. Kapuskasing's economic growth is reflected in the continual development and expansion of its commercial and industrial sectors.
We are recruiting for a Nursing Unit Manager, with the opportunity to work in the 21-bed Medical-Surgical unit (which also includes Obstetrical services) or in the Emergency Department together with the ICU.
Compensation is per the standard salary grid of $50.05 - $53.79 per hour for 37.5 hours / week (flexible schedule) in association with benefits paid 100% by the employer. A signing bonus (return of service agreement) of $10,000 is payable the first pay.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
- A current license and/or College of Nurses' certification
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Maintains balanced portfolio of administrative skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with expertise in the area of management
- Ability to provide services in English and French is desired, with French language educational support available to a candidate who is not bilingual
- Possesses exceptional organizational and communicational skills
- Exhibits a high degree of tact, patience and critical thinking in order to maintain good interpersonal relationships
