Description Working within the context of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) functions in an expanded role demonstrating a high level of autonomy within the Registered Nurse legislated scope of practice. Working in collaboration with the providers, team members and community partners, the RN will deliver programs and services offered by the primary care team. Huron Shores Family Health Team is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual with strong interpersonal skills to join our multi-disciplinary team in Blind River. Travel may be required.

Duties
- Conduct initial screening assessment, provide appropriate care and/or make appropriate referral within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
- Participate and collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care.
- Answer patient inquiries and direct them to or provide appropriate treatment.
- Effective use the Standards of Nursing Practice and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and implement charting tools, keep record of appropriate statistics.
- Support the development of policies, procedures, best practices, protocols, medical directives in association with the provider related to patient/client care as required.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develop/initiate health teachings, screening programs and/or workshops.
- Provide client education on preventative health care and other health issues.
- Collect and maintain accurate data and information in accordance with the Personal Health Information Act (PHIPA) and the requirements of any regulatory body standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Spots Available/Location: 1.0 FTE (Blind River)

Qualifications
- A graduate from an approved School of Nursing with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and multitask efficiently.
- Effective listening, observation, and facilitation skills to effectively assess the client and provide appropriate treatment and consultation.
- A satisfactory and current Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Reference Check.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Clear Criminal Record and Valid Driver's License.

Huron Shores Family Health Team (HSFHT) has a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy that requires covered individuals to take part in COVID-19 vaccination programs recommended by Public Health; unless they are approved for a human rights accommodation from HSFHT.
