Job Description:
The Kensington Conservancy is a local land trust that protects over 1,200 acres of ecologically sensitive land in the St. Joseph Channel area. We are looking for a technician to assist with our Bat Monitoring and Education Program.
Location: Desbarats, Ontario Anticipated Start Date: May 2025 Contract Length: 12-16 weeks Positions Available: 1 Compensation: $20.00/hour (35 hours/week) If you thrive in a friendly, versatile atmosphere, where you are a valued member of a great team working to protect the environment, we welcome you to apply. - install and maintain bat recorders
- analyze the collected data and develop reports
- engage and educate the local community about bats

Required Skills:
Qualifications and Skills Required
- completed, or currently completing, a diploma or degree in a field related to biology or natural resources
- identification of local flora and fauna species
- experience with advanced computer programs
- knowledge of local ecosystems and how they function
- experience working outdoors in all weather conditions
- exceptional outdoor navigation skills
- the ability to work both independently and as a team
