Position: Community Support Services Worker
Accountability: Social Service Manager
Salary: $49,753 - $56,542
Employment Status: full Time 2 years contract
Hours of Work: 32 hrs
Preferences: MFN Band Members
Circulation Level: Level I

The Community Support Services Worker will:
- Develop and deliver programs and workshops to address the needs of the community. Develop and maintain confidential record keeping system for the program.
- Coordinate logistics of program projects, workshops, and events.
- Develop, organize, and facilitate parenting, budgeting and other workshops as required.
- Promote programs, workshops, community events.
- Develop participation tracking system for statistical purposes.
- Assist with the coordination, planning and organization of cultural activities for the program.
- Assist with the development, planning and coordination of healthy lifestyles activities for the community.
- Actively participate on team meetings
- Coordinate community events such as Family Swim, Fishing Derby, Seasonal Feasts, Christmas Food Baskets, etc.
- Coordinate and implement Breakfast Programs.
- Develop annual program budget with assistance from Social Services Manager.
- Monitor program budgets to ensure expenditures are within budgetary limits.
- Ensure completion of administrative tasks as required.
- Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
- Prepare an annual work plan and quarterly reports to funders.
- Prepare and submit updates to the community on program activities.
- Establish work priorities, ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed.

Required Skills:
The Community Support Services Worker will possess the following education, experience, and skill qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Social Services field.
- Two (2) year experience in the Social Services field working with families.
- Experience working with indigenous people, organizations, and communities.
- Experience developing programs and activity events planning.
- Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check from the Canadian Police Information Center.
- Must have Class \"G\" Ontario Driver's License in good standing and be able to travel.
- Knowledge of Mississauga First Nation programs and services.
- Knowledge of surrounding community agencies, services, and workers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and mediation skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office software and social media.
