Who We Are
The Ojibways of Batchewana First Nation (BFN) are a progressive and vibrant Indigenous community situated on the north-eastern shore of Lake Superior adjacent to the City of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. The First Nation Is comprised of four land bases: Rankin, Goulais Bay, Obadjiwon, and Whitefish Island.
Batchewana First Nation has the charm of small-town life with access to urban areas and proximity to the international bridge. As part of the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians and signatories to the Robinson Huron Treaty, Batchewana First Nation assert their sovereignty, jurisdiction, and expressions of nationhood through a multitude of approaches each and everyday.

Position Summary
The Bingo Caller is a part-time position responsible for providing Bingo patrons with exceptional customer experience by ensuring clear, concise calling, and fun filled Bingo.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service experience by being professional in dress, appearance, and attitude.
Maintain a safe working environment and entry for community members.
Ensure all Bingo and audio/visual equipment is in proper working order prior to starting the Bingo.
Requires a clear voice and tone that invites participants to listen and engage, and ensure calling is done in sequential order as presented by the Bingo machine.
Communicate with the Shift Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure efficient operations.
Follow all BFN's policies and procedures.
Ensure the maintenance and safety of all equipment.
Identify winners and ensure that the head cash is notified.
Ensuring a clean environment, workstation and assist in light janitorial duties as needed
Close all games properly and ensure equipment is turned off at the end of shift and ready for the next session.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum age of 17 for any session running after 11:00 PM or during school year.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Bingo equipment.
Knowledge of Bingo rules and regulations.
Exceptional interpersonal, relationship, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Ability to demonstrate integrity, empathy, trust, respect, and understanding by always acting with a high degree of professionalism.
Must be able to problem solve.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Favorable Canadian Police Information Check (CPIC)
Must be able to work a varied schedule as per business needs/hours including weekends and holidays.
