We are looking for an Early Learning Educator (full-time contract until November 29, 2024) to work as part of a team, assist in the day-to-day operations, and share responsibility for the children enrolled at our onsite preschool program. Within this role you will assist in curriculum development, implement, and support individual support plans, and maintain a safe, routine based and organized environment. THRIVE is also an incorporated, non-profit Children's Treatment Centre made up of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, therapy assistants, early childhood educators, ABA Therapists and support staff. We provide inter-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation, respite care, an on-site childcare program and resource support to community childcare centres in Sault Ste. Required Skills:
What we need from you:

- Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Working knowledge of the Child Care & Early Years Act
- Ability to lift and move children and equipment as required
- Experience working with children with special needs is an asset
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, balanced with a commitment to a collaborative team approach.
- Sensitive to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and positional differences among staff, providers and children/families served.
- Ability to organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced service-oriented environment
- Committed to working within a family-centred approach
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Competency in using various computer tools such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset
- Satisfactory criminal background check and vulnerable sector screen (CPIC)
- First Aid and C.P.R. Certification is required
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required
