Job Description:
Salary: Based on Experience
Early Childhood Educators and Assistants - Meadow Park Montessori School, Sault Ste. Marie, ON
Children's Ages: 2 years to 6 years
Part Time/Full Time
- Maintain daycare equipment & assist in housekeeping & cooking duties,
- Assist in planning/organizing activities for school children in child-care programs before/after regular school hours
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs & taking children to local points of interest
- Guide & assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing & toilet habits
- Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, Knowledge of licensing regulations,
- Establish & maintain an environment that protects the health, security & well-being of children
- Establish & maintain relationships with coworkers & community service providers working with children
- Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional & social development of children
- Prepare snacks & arrange rooms or furniture for lunch & rest periods,
- Discuss progress & areas of concern of children at staff meetings

Required Skills:
- First Aid Certificate, Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate, Early Childhood Education, Assistant Certificate
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Must provide Criminal Record Check and Immunization records
