Systems Technical Support Analyst
Summer Student Program - July to August 2024
Location: Serpent River First Nation - Head Office

Who we are? We are a leader in First Nation Health. Our foundation is Indigenous Health in Indigenous Hands. We provide accessible, quality, culturally safe and holistic health care that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We work with our 11 First Nation community partners in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services and health promotion services. We have recently been approved as the first Indigenous lead Ontario Health Team by the Ministry of Health.

The opportunity: The Systems Technical Support Analyst will work under the supervision of the IT Support Advisor to assist in providing a broad range of technical support services. The Systems Technical Support Analyst will help to configure, install, and maintain hardware and software program, and assist with upgrades and integrations. They help with security issues, provide repair and troubleshooting support. Strict adherence to the Confidentiality Policy of Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services is a critical element to the position.

Required Skills:
What you need to bring with you:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a computer science, information technology, or information systems is an asset
- IT certification is an asset
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various database programs including Access/SQL
- Demonstrated experience in cloud based applications such as Javascripts, Angular, and/or React, JSON, Java, Sprint Boot, MEAN stack, HTML/SASS, Python, .NET, etc.
- Proven experience in design and developing APIs and microservices
- Significant knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Azure SQL, PostgresQL, noSQL, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with, and knowledge of code version control systems, DevOps practices, virtualization, container solutions and emerging technologies such as BlockChain, RPA, Machine Learning, etc.
- Experience working with, and knowledge of, Mac and Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Network Storage, Azure, KACE 1000, etc.
- Knowledge of, and experience with setting up and troubleshooting of hardware (laptops, video conferencing systems, mobile phones, etc.)
- Strong computing skills
- Is a natural problem solver and critical thinker
- Fluent in a variety of programming languages, software, and systems
- Demonstrated leadership and computer literacy skills
- A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
Requirements:
