Job Description:
Wage: $22.00/hr to start with probability of regular raises
Schedule: Wednesdays 11-1 and morning shifts 8-9 am weekly, with 1 day off.
Woman with Multiple Sclerosis affecting mobility and fine motor skills (wheelchair and walker) looking to hire a compassionate, kind and organized caregiver to assist with activities of daily living to allow them to function more safely and independently. Client can be behaviorally difficult at times.
Biweekly pay with full government deductions. A criminal record check may be required upon hiring.
Some benefits include laid back residential setting, no dress code, some meals, and food provided, on site parking.
Ideal job for mature students, PSWs, Retired People or ODSP recipients looking to supplement their income.
Duties include assisting showering, dressing, meal preparation, baking, some light housekeeping (make bed, take trash out to bin, dishes (load and empty dishwasher), laundry, shopping, and errands. Provide client with mobility assistance and other duties as mutually agreed to.

Required Skills:
-Experience with in-home personal care/support, flexibility, and a demonstrated understanding of the needs of clients with MS and physical disabilities.
-Excellent time management, organizational and coordination skills, good written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to effectively problem-solve and to maintain confidentiality an asset.
-Ability to follow direction and work independently, exercise good judgment, and prioritize daily tasks.

Requirements:
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation an asset but not required.
