The Township of the North Shore is seeking a Temporary Casual Labourer for assistance in the Public Works department.
If you are interested in temporary casual work, we look forward to hearing from you. The Township will set priority for local residents of The Township of The North Shore.

The following position is considered Temporary Seasonal from approximately May to October 2024, with a maximum of 40 hours per week.

Rate of Pay: $18.54 per hour

- Valid and current Class G drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- Experience with operation of small engine equipment;
- General handy-person skills.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate utility vehicle, Eg: municipal pick-up truck;
- General assistance in the public works department with maintenance, minor construction, grounds keeping and clearing, maintenance of buildings and properties, material hauling, some minor construction work, road maintenance operations including shovelling if required;
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Ability to work independently;
- Training for use of chainsaw will be provided;
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, professional conduct and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures, and
- Other duties as assigned.
