Job Description:
A well-established Professional Accounting firm seeks a Staff Accountant that is able to handle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities will include online bookkeeping services, payroll processing, processing of sales and purchases invoices, bank statement and credit card reconciliations, complying with government tax reporting, and a variety of other general accounting related duties for a multitude of clients on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized self starter who possesses a strong work ethic in providing professional/ proficient excellence in the required tasks.

Are you just starting out and interested in the accounting/bookkeeping field? Training is available for the right person.
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefit package available.

Required Skills:
Qualifications
- Accounting/Business Diploma/Degree with related work experience. Will consider a candidate working towards a Degree or Diploma.
- Ability to work independently, but willing to ask questions or obtain assistance when needed.
- Ability to meet with new clients and determine bookkeeping requirements.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple projects with a proven track record of strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in QBO, Xero, QuickBooks, and SAGE - full cycle experience (preferred but training will be provided).
- Ability to set up and create a new company and create new accounting records in QBO, or other selected online software.
- Working knowledge of CaseWare Working Paper, Profile or CCH iFirm (preferred but not required - training will be provided).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be working with various clients for all day-to-day accounting related services and training, and able to maintain an ongoing relationship with the client.
