Position: LMI Survey Coordinator
Hourly Range: $21.90 - $24.15 (Pending Qualifications and Experience)
Location: ISETS
Duration: Contract Ending March 31st, 2024
Position Summary:
Garden River First Nation (GRFN) is seeking a LMI Survey Coordinator who will be responsible for contacting Garden River First Nation Band members 15+ to take part in the Labour Market Survey. The Survey Coordinator will be responsible for participating in training provided on specific survey instruments and processes, and then recruiting, scheduling, and conducting interviews with members of the working age population (age 15 and up) in the community. Interviews can be conducted over the phone, in-person, or self-completed online through a URL sent by the interviewer. Interviewers then enter collected data into a secure, online database. The Survey Interviewer functions within legislative requirements, regulations, policies and procedures and the Mission, Beliefs and Vision of the Garden River First Nation, and contributes to the accomplishment of the strategic priorities.
Duties
- Responsible for collecting survey data, inputting data and reviewing of data with corrections and updates;
- Follow computer-assisted interview modules and/or paper-copy interview guides;
- Establish contact with potential respondents for interview by telephone, in person, or online (email, social media);
- Develop partnerships with community agencies, staff, and clients.;
- Set up appointments with potential respondents to conduct the interviews;
- Conduct interviews following the outline of the questionnaire either in person or by telephone;
- Provide support to respondents that choose to self-complete online if required;
- Record answers on paper or enter directly into a computer database;. Compile the interview data and other data into reports and lists;
- Check information collected for completeness and accuracy;
- Perform other duties as may be required or assigned;

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- Eligible for the Indigenous Skills Employment Training (GRFN Band Member, unemployed, underemployed, and experiencing barriers to employment);
- Required two-year college diploma in Business, Human Services and/or other related field;
- Required two years related experience in computer and database technology;
- Ability to use good judgement in assessing difficult situations;
- Excellent computer skills (including Case Management, MS Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Internet, Email, Outlook);
- Effective interpersonal skills, good oral communication skills and be well-organized;
- Accurate and attention to detail;
- Familiarity with data entry an asset;
- Discretion and emphasis on protection of confidentiality of information;
- Must undergo a criminal record check prior to employment (At Applicant Expense)
