Full-Time Camp Cook at Blue Fox Camp
Kirkpatrick Lake, Iron Bridge, ON

Blue Fox Camp is a remote, trophy trout fishing lodge located in the stunning Algoma Highlands north of Blind River, Ontario. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Camp Cook to help run the kitchen and ensure our guests enjoy top-notch meals during their stay. This is a full-time, seasonal position with room and board (food) provided, along with a flight/ATV transport to and from the camp.

Job Overview: As the Camp Cook at Blue Fox Camp, you will be responsible for providing staff and guests three meals daily, managing the cookhouse, maintaining food inventory, assisting with food shipments and housekeeping of the lodge.

Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Prep & Cooking: Prepare and serve breakfast (7-8 am), lunch (noon), and dinner (5-8 pm).
- Cookhouse Maintenance: Ensure the cookhouse remains clean and organized at all times.
- Inventory & Food Shipments: Keep food inventory updated and help coordinate food shipments.
- Meal Planning: Work with the team to develop meal plans that cater to client preferences.
- Guest Cabin & Shower Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of guest cabins and shower house/sauna.
- Client Satisfaction: Assist with arrival/departure, collect funds if needed.
- Flights: Coordinate incoming and outgoing flights for clients.

What We're Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in the service industry with kitchen management experience preferred.
Certifications: CPR/First Aid and safe food handling certification is required.
Additional Skills: Knowledge of camp operations and propane systems is a plus.
Personality: Ideal candidates are self-motivated, independent, and easy-going with a passion for outdoor activities and working with people.
Fishing & Outdoor Skills: Fishing license, Canadian boating card, and outdoor experience preferred (camping, fishing, canoeing or related fields).

Contract Details:
- Season: May 1st to July 3rd (with the possibility of working the fall season in September).
- $1500/week + Meals, room and transportation included. Tips from guests are yours to keep.
- Bonuses: Bonuses may be awarded based on exceptional performance and completing the full season.
- Time off and camp leave will be negotiated on an individual basis.
