Summer Employment Opportunities
for Students with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism

Are you a student with an intellectual disability and/or autism?
Are you interested working this summer, learning new things, meeting new people, and earning some money?

Want to know what you will be doing?
- You could be doing anything from making pizza, serving guests, being part of a cleanup crew, cutting grass, washing golf carts, or anything else, depending on what jobs are available.
- Working with an employment/job coach, who can help and support you with your job responsibilities.

What are the top five things employers are looking for?
- Be excited to go to work.
- Are able to complete a number of different things depending on where you work.
- Able to listen to and follow directions from your job coach and employer.
- Report to work each day and be on time.
- Open and available to work when you are needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

To be eligible for a job, you must currently:
- Have an intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder.
- Be a full-time student.
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30.
- Have a valid social insurance number.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred.

Position Start Dates:
Approximately May 5th or June 30th, 2025

Hours of Work:
Between 15 to 40 per week.
Specific positions may require you to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Rate of Pay:
Minimum wage ($17.20 per hour)
