Job Title: Human Resources Specialist and Safety Administrator
Job Location: Sault Ste. Marie
Pay Rate / Hour: 28-35 plus bonus

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
-Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated into the company culture.
-Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
-Oversee performance management processes, including evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
-Ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws and regulations.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
-Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
-Coordinate and conduct training programs for employees and management.
-Manage employee benefits programs and handle related inquiries.
-Provide support for HR projects and initiatives as needed.
-Working in collaboration with the safety department to ensure proper records are maintained.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
-Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.

Preferred Qualifications:
-HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
-Experience with HRIS systems.
