Job Description:
Canadian Tire is looking for a Part-Time Tire and Lube Technician
Wage: $19.92
Hours/week: 20
Schedule: Evenings and Weekends
Duties:
- Tire Rotation, Changes and Balancing
- Lube and Oil Change services
- Wiper blade changes
- Bulb replacements
- Shop organizing, cleaning and a safe work environment at all times.
- Provides an excellent customer experience by ensuring an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer and their vehicle and by assisting in explaining procedures, maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Provides written vehicle reports for all work performed. Performs tasks in compliance with industry flat rate time allowances and provides quality workmanship to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Ensures that an unsafe vehicle is reported to management and vehicle owner.
- Ensures vehicles are kept clean and free of damage by using seat covers and floor mats.
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Required Skills:
- Knowledge of current automobile technology an asset.
- Supply own safety shoes. (Specialty tools will be provided as needed)
- Valid G driver's license and be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to work effectively with computerized systems. (Battery Testers, Oil Light Reset, TPMS Reset)
- Strong orientation towards customer service excellence to inspire their confidence and trust.
- Results-oriented individual who completes tasks according to instructions and demonstrates responsibility for outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals.
- Ability to plan and organize daily tasks.
- Effective written and oral communication and basic math skills.
- Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations
