Job Description:
Job title: Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator
Reports to: HR Manager

Job Purpose
In this role, the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator will effectively represent and market the Norpro Security Ltd. brand, our business objectives, and career opportunities to potential candidates. They are responsible for attracting suitable candidates for open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge and experience. The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator remains up-to date on the requirements of the various positions in the company. The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Source and implement innovative recruiting strategies to attract the best talent.
- Source and build the candidate network using both traditional and innovative recruiting strategies to attract both active and passive candidates.
- Attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Build strong, diverse candidate pipelines and develop relationships with candidates for future opportunities.
- Create and publish job ads in various portals.
- Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during events
- Assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner.
- Conduct background checks on potential new employees
- Complete paperwork for new hires.
- Manage and administer employee onboarding processes such as new hire package creation/distribution, conducting orientations, drafting announcements, collecting applicable documents, etc.
- Provide recruitment reports to team managers.
- Keep up to date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company.
- Monitor recruitment practices to ensure compliance with applicable provincial employment and human rights legislation.
- Work collaboratively with HR team and all departments within the organization.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Working Conditions
Work will be in an office environment and may periodically require travel off site and out of town.

Physical Requirements
Requires ability to work at an office desk in a standard office environment.


Required Skills:
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or Human Resources
- The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
- Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
- The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
- A working knowledge of employment law and legislation
- Valid Driver' License, Clear Drivers Abstract and must complete a criminal background check (CPIC)
