Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse
Under the direction of the Director of Care, the RPN is responsible for the total care of all residents in the Nursing Home. All employees of the ERHHC share a duty and responsibility to ensure a high level of client safety for patients and residents.
This will be accomplished through active employee involvement, continuous training, and development, as well as a commitment to compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
Benefits:
- Starting Wage - $35.12 - $35.97 per hour based on experience.
- $2.26 per hour shift premium for evenings and $2.77 per hour shift premium on weekends
- Position offers a competitive compensation package including paid vacation and sick leave, health and dental benefits, life insurance and pension plan
- Eligible for a retention bonus of a $1000 as per Hospital Policy
- New graduates are eligible for a tuition reimbursement program

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Current Certificate of Competence, College of Nurses of Ontario
- Competency in the practice of nursing and the ability to communicate, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- Recent certificate for Medication Administration and experience in administering meds in LTC
- Certificate for Intramuscular injections, and successful completion of Catheterization and Assessments courses
- In-depth knowledge of complex needs of both LTC and Acute clients, including assessment skills
- Recent experience in Geriatric nursing and evidence of continuous professional growth
- Current first aid and CPR
- Ability to provide leadership according to the LTC program standards of MOHLTC, as well as CNO standards
- Ability to provide regular attendance
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
