ELECTRONIC AND NETWORK TECHNICIAN

THE ROLE
As an experienced Electronic and Network Technician with broad IT skills, you will be responsible for installing and servicing PBX Systems, VoIP Systems, TCP/IP Networks, Burglar & Fire Alarms, CCTV Security, Access Control & Wireless solutions. You must have the ability to do project management as a working technician; and you will have the opportunity to assume management responsibilities as your abilities allow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation, maintenance of equipment and systems
- Performing service calls
- Running cable and terminating jacks, programing software, troubleshooting faulty lines and cables in addition to doing moves/adds/changes to customer equipment
- Perform customer assessments and design, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems
- Staying abreast of industry related current technology

Required Skills:
The candidate must have a diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering or Networking and some formal programming training; however, we are willing to further train the candidate with the proper education and desire for continual learning.
- Electronics background or formal education in the Programming/Network field is mandatory
- Proficient with IP/networking and Windows environment is a big plus
- Experience in low voltage cabling is a significant asset
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be organized and detail oriented
- Enjoys both technical and physical installation and has experience with hand tools
- Great attitude and work ethic
- Desire for personal growth and advancement with an interest in continual learning
- Excellent customer service skills
- Can easily adapt to changing work environments and evolving technology.
The position will require the candidate to use sound independent judgement within established procedural guidelines and demonstrate professional integrity.
