**PENDING FUNDING APPROVAL from Summer Experience Program**
The Summer Experience Employee will under the supervision of our Museum Curator and Tourism Operator, work within our combined Tourist Information Centre and Museum. This location provides a vital stopping point within the Municipality for the traveling public on TransCanada Hwy. 17, many coming from overseas with travel increasing each year since the pandemic.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to carry out duties such as:
- Greeting tourists and interact with people of differing cultures and languages, providing information on the community, recreation and tourism opportunities, points of interest
- Share cultural/heritage knowledge in displaying museum artifacts
- Assisting in maintaining cultural and historical artifacts on display
- Assisting to carry out and in some planning of annual summer events targeted to the youth and senior populations
- Engaging various community and resource groups (ie. tourist operators, hotel/motel industry, restaurants, Museum Committee, Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) to promote programs and gather information on neighbouring community events

Requirements:
You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.
