Summary of Duties:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance the candidate must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team on various tasks pertaining to maintenance, troubleshooting, problem solving and installation of Plumbing equipment and systems.

Work will be performed primarily in the Central Algoma and Sault Ste. Marie areas of the Algoma District School Board from Goulais River to Thessalon with occasional travel required throughout the District of Algoma.

This unionized position offers an extensive benefit package and current wage rate of $26.51
per hour, 35 hours per week.

Compétences requises:
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum grade 12, hold a certificate of qualification as a plumber (309A Trade License), and have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the plumbing maintenance fields. The successful candidate will also require a minimum of two years experience in an institutional/commercial environment, have basic computer skills, and a valid Class G Drivers License. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Preference will be given to those candidates who also possess the following:
Certified as a G1, G2 or G3 Gas Technician,
Certificate of Qualification as a Steam Fitter (307A)
Knowledge of Boilers and Boiler Controls.
