Job Description:
Bunk houses are available on location and transportation may be arranged to and from the worksite on a weekly basis.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Cashier will provide our customers with a high level of customer service and will be responsible for processing credit or debit card transactions using an electronic scanner and cash register. Other responsibilities will include occasional assistance with manufacturing of products in a shop-floor environment. The Customer Service Cashier will be reporting to the store manager and will be responsible for the daily shift duties and promote the sale of products and services through Agawa Crafts and the Canadian Carver.

The Cashier will, in every aspect of their position, maintain the level of professionalism expected by Agawa Crafts and the Canadian Carver Corporation as outlined through the Governance Manual, and uphold the ethics of their position and the customer service team. In addition, the Cashier shall complete the following duties as required by their position:
. Answer customers` questions
. Bag, box, wrap or gift-wrap merchandise
. Compute and record totals of transactions
. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
. Establish or identify prices of goods and services, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners
. Greet customers entering establishments
. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
. Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
. Monitor checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and that they are staffed appropriately
. Process merchandise returns and exchanges
. Receive payment by cash, credit cards, vouchers, or debit
. Resolve customer complaints
. Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records
. Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
. Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
. Provide assistance with manufacturing of products
. Production work involving cutting, gluing, sewing, stapling, assembly work, work with saws and other machinery, etc
. Provide clerical assistance in the form of typing, filing, etc.
. Perform minor maintenance work and clean-up duties
. Other duties as required

WORK CONDITIONS
. Manual dexterity required
. Overtime as required
. Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
. Safety equipment may be required

WORK SITE LOCATION
The Clerk`s primary work site location shall be within the Agawa Crafts and Canadian Carver, located at 12502 Hwy 17 N, Pancake Bay, ON, P0S 1A0. It is the duty of the employee to arrange transportation to and from the work site location at no cost to the employer. The work site location includes all outdoor and indoor public areas at the property. Arrangements may be made to stay in the bunk houses located at the work site location.
